Nice engine and tender. Made in the 1950’s in Morrisville Pennsylvania. This unit spent most of its life in Williamsport Pennsylvania as my Dad was the original owner.
Brass trim is mostly clean, has original cast headlight, minor fatigue and chip at front edge. Original couplers are clean. “Lionel” lettering is worn, 248 numbers show only light wear. Loco ran, forward only type motor, and headlight worked when tested.
The engines looks to be in need of restoration. The motors dont hold when wound up, no windkey. Otherwise looks to be complete units. See all the photos for condition. It is graded on its appearance only.

A desirable original Ives prewar electric locomotive with strong antique tinplate character. Bell, headlight assembly, handrails and couplers are present. Headlight bulb is present but untested.
Mint Condition. Boxed with papers and brake lines. This loco was bought new and then sat on a shelf in its box. Loco tested for operation, but will require oiling of relevant parts before continued use.
