Lionel No. 1062 locomotive. The locomotive has been tested and is fully operational. The motor runs well and the headlight lights as it should. Black steam engine. Electric motor tested and operates properly.

These trains came into my possession in much worse condition than this, and I have cleaned them to the best of my ability without taking anything apart. The Lionel 253 is missing what I believe to be a screw and is not connected to the base. I have not tested anything, however due to the condition I would assume they will not work as is. I do not know the last time they were turned on. There is some serious rust and other major signs of wear, but it’s not horrible for being 100 years old. As a reminder, these are being sold purely FOR PARTS/REPAIR. Thank you!
Train cars have original paint and decorations, un-retouched. Cars are 2” wide with a wheel distance of aprox 1” to 1.25” apart. While an exact year isn’t specified, it was part of their tin-litho locomotive lineup that existed before the widespread production of their die-cast models, such as the #999 steam outline loco.
Locomotive is very clean and looks great. It runs but the light is not working (I can see on the inside that its wire is disconnected). If it was a steam engine, it is now missing the smoker. Engine feels a little loose, think it’s missing a screw.
