The train is nearly perfect. There is a small patch of bubbled paint near the top boiler (pictured). Also, there is a brass tender step that needs attached (pictured).

This model was previously a NIB conventional locomotive with a simple reversing unit that intermittently worked. It was upgraded professionally by Stockyard Express in Oberlin, Ohio with a Proto-Sound 3.0 board that now allows for command control, sound, crew dialog, and fan driven smoke. Everyone loves the Santa Fe. Beautiful red and silver and yellow war bonnet. This is a MTH Santa Fe Dash-8 40C Diesel from 1993. This engine was among the very first engines in the MTH line. It does not have Protosounds.
