This is an On18 critter Switcher Kit designed to employ the Kato 11-109 N scale drive mechanism(Not Included). It is 3d resin printed and will require surface prep and finishing as part of the assembly. Includes some 3d printed link pin socket couplers, .020″ plexiglass for the windows and. 020″ wire for grab irons. Does not include the drive mechanism.

This is for a 3D printed On30 scale narrow gauge steam locomotive side tank conversion kit. This version has medium side tanks and a rear-of-cab fireman’s step plate/porch with fuel bunker. The kit includes a pair of side tanks, the step plate with attached fuel bunker, and an optional oil tank top for the bunker. DOES NOT include the Bachmann loco. Pics with the 2-6-0 are for illustrative purposes only. These are designed to fit the standard Bachmann On30 scale 2-6-0 Mogul loco. To make a tank loco, DCC versions will need to be modified to run without the tender which houses the DCC board. You could also convert the tender to a “fuel-only” type to keep the DCC wiring as-is. You will need to remove/relocate the injector piping on both sides of the boiler as well as the air brake compressor from the engineer’s side of the loco. The side tanks drop right onto the running boards. The step plate/fuel bunker attaches to the rear of the cab easily with glue (I prefer J.B. Steel 5 minute epoxy for these applications). A 2-6-2 could be made by adding a rear 2 wheel truck. You will also need to add a rear coupler as well. A Kadee #5 with a draft box could easily be mounted to the bottom of the rear step plate using some styrene strips to get the proper coupler height. You could also choose to chop off the step plate at the fuel bunker and attach the bunker directly to the rear of the cab. Then the cab will have to be modified by the modeler to a different type cab, for example…a side entry style…as well as adding a rear coupler. Parts may need a little light sanding and/or filing in spots as well as slight trimming for proper fit. Use as printed or prime and paint as you wish.
