Part Number 6967. The SP&S locomotives were designated Class E-1. They were mostly identical to the Northern Pacific A-3’s, except all three were oil burners. There are no surviving Northern Pacific Northerns.
This locomotive is in overall decent condition with noticeable signs of wear, use, and age. Graphics worn off. Engine has been tested & runs good. Needs a coupler assembly replaced (See Pictures).
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are heavy nicks, scratches, and spots of surface rust present on this locomotive. Additionally, signs of paint wear, chips, and discoloration are visible throughout the shell and trucks. Some red discoloration is speckled on the truck sides. Some insulators are missing from the pantographs. This item has been inspected by our repair shop. Please see the attached picture for inspection details and additional operation information.
