The original cracked gears were replaced with Walthers Proto gear sets. This model/unit is very nice, and the prototype unit was rare on the D&RGW. Ready to run on your layout or could be converted to DCC.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There is a little metallic squeal when the engine is running, however the source of the noise could not be located. The engine runs strong otherwise. This item displays scratches and paint imperfections across the body and underframe. Small spots of paint loss are present along the edges of the shell and on several of the small trim pieces. The fuel tank on the underside of the locomotive is slightly loose. The rear coupler is missing. The wheels show average run-time. The original box is not included.
