This very nice HO gauge steam locomotive by Jouef is 8362 a SNCF BB 25500 electric loco in green livery with running number BB 25531. SNCF’s BB 25500 class are part of a series of electric locomotives built by Alsthom.
This is from the original Proto 2000 Series locomotives. It has a belt driving the fan blade under the exhaust fan casting. I took the drive out to check it so the buyer doesn’t get hung with an issue. The drive is smooth and the gears are OK (the gear issue came in with the blue box Proto 2000 models). The body mounting screw and alternate couplers are still in a sealed bag, and all the paperwork is there. Feel free to ask any questions..
These models were the basic line from Jouef, the affordable series. This modle was produced without the front and nose side railings. The holes are there, but were not used. This locomtive is hard to find in such lovely condition.
