This is from a 2343 Santa Fe.
Complete both sides. Need minor cleaning.
Runs great. The loco box is missing the outer flap on one side. The tender box only has the outer shell left. The engine is in excellent condition with a few minor wear spots. Overall really nice.

For a Lionel repair person, this is not just a loose truck. When one of these is missing, an otherwise good restoration project can sit unfinished over a small but important part. This is listed for Lionel 1684 O Gauge prewar steam locomotive restoration use.
For a Lionel repair person, this is not just a random loose truck. These small original parts are often the pieces that stop an otherwise decent prewar engine from being complete. Lionel made many similar-looking prewar and early O Gauge parts, and small differences matter.
The Vintage Marx 21 Santa Fe 1950s Double Diesel Twin Units are a classic piece of O Gauge model train history. These red units, modeled after the Santa Fe Southern Railway, showcase a 1:48 scale replica of the Bo-Bo wheel configuration and are made from pressed steel, tin, and diecast materials. With an analog control system and a three-rail system, these locomotives are perfect for collectors and hobbyists aged 17 and up. The detailed features and vintage charm make these units a must-have for any transportation-themed model railroad display.
