The 312 die-cast steam locomotive has the smoke unit in the boiler and the reverse switch underneath the tender. From what I’ve read, this combination of features indicates that this locomotive/tender set was made in 1948.

Reverse is in the boiler. This one has a brass-weighted link coupler. The loop handle at the top of the rear of the tender is missing. TCA #97-45581. Internal reference SRT26496.
Comes in original box, which shows some wear, and everything shown. Unable to test. Engine and tender are approximately 19 inches long together. Visually in great condition–see pictures.

PRR Pacific #312 AC is in superb condition with nothing missing or broken except the colored marker lenses. This engine will need a full tear down and cleaning if you want to operate it. All the original decaling looks fresh and complete, I have not cleaned this so it is dusty and the side rods need polishing.

The smoker motor runs excellent, has been serviced, and produces good smoke; it has the distinct “ chugging” sound. The tender has 2 “2 axeled” trucks and a “Knuckle” coupler. The lettering on the locomotive is on good condition and on the tender it is in fair condition.
