For sale is an MTH Premier Boston & Albany B&A J-1e Hudson steam locomotive & tender #616. Catalog 20-3157-1. Equipped with ProtoSound 2.0 and is a 3-volt board. Engine has been test-run only and operates as it should.
The motor is a little bit noisy but it does not seem to effect anything. Body in great shape with no major flaws that i can see. Overall its a great little (big) tank engine and should look great on any layout.
The train has never been used and is in perfect shape ad shown within the photos. It has been displayed in a case briefly, but never run. It does come with the little screw driver and extra screws as well. Will be shipped and handled with great care!
It ran well in F-N-R. Headlight works, bell and whistle (2 tones) sounded on cue. I did not test the smoke unit. It holds the rear wheel set on the tender (another PIC close-up). To replace it requires removing the rear coupler retaining clip.
This one is different. It is very rare, utterly gorgeous, and quite expensive. It is HUGE – nearly 2 feet long with tender. It is massively heavy. The wheels and running gear are gorgeous. The proportions are perfection.
