Lionel pre-war O gauge Model 238 “Pennsylvania Torpedo” steam locomotive and matching tender. Lionel manufactured this die-cast O gauge model from1936 to 1940. Models produced between 1939 and 1940 were finished in satin black, matching the version displayed in your image.

Lionel Prewar O Gauge Scarce Black 238 Torpedo Streamlined Steam Locomotive!
A sharp 1940 uncatalogued satin black 238 with 2235W tender. Sold through Sears Roebuck. Loco lights but the e unit is stuck in neutral and will need serviced. Tender is missing the whistle which is easily sourced from a basket case.
