The JNR C11 class steam locomotive was a superheated tank steam locomotive (tank locomotive ) designed in 1932 by the Ministry of Railways, the predecessor of the Japanese National Railways ( JNR ).
The railcar is in good condition as you can see in the pictures, The railcar is tested and runs with working lights. We have tested it on rollers both in the forwards and backwards directions. The box is in good if slightly shelf worn condition.
C11 171 (SL Fuyu-no-Shitsugen). It remains a symbol of resilience and nostalgia, puffing white smoke against the vast, frozen landscape of the north. TheC11 171 is one of Japan’s most beloved surviving steam locomotives, currently operated byJR Hokkaido.
Marklin couplers + 3-pole motor. Tested runs fwd and rev w/ headlight. Not intended for children under 15 years old.
The engine is approx. 4″ long, about 2″ high and approx. 1 3/8″ across. It is in good to very good condition. I have no way to test it so I don’t know if it runs or not.
