The locomotive has a NCE Dual Mode DCC decoder installed and will run on both DC and DCC. It also has a directional LED headlight and lower Red light, Knuckle couplers and NEW AXLE GEARS. It has just been serviced with a through cleaning and fresh oil sparingly applied.
