Brass HO scale locomotive. Union Pacific 4-6-6-4 Challenger (coal version) #3928 from Key Imports. Manufactured by Samhongsa in Korea. Has a can motor that runs well when connected directly to a power pack but it didn’t move when track tested, most likely an issue with the tender or drawbar. The model is well detailed, has articulated sprung drivers, back head details, and a Kadee coupler on the tender. One thing to note, there is some chipping paint in a handful of places, see pictures for details. Includes the original box and foam. Shipping costs include insurance. Offered is a Challenger Imports, Ltd 2203.1 Brass Great Northern Class S-2 4-8-4 Open Cab Version Steam Locomotive and Oil Tender #2584 (Factory Painted Glazier Park). This set is offered as pictured in what appears to me to be new old stock condition.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire this gem as only a handful of these units were imported from Korea. Tested on 3/31/25 and found her to run smooth and quiet in both directions. One of the corners on the box was torn so we decided to tape it back shut.
