RARE! Fleischmann 1055 – Tank Locomotive of the DB, class 95.0 – HO scale – NIB

The Model: Tank loco of the DB, class 95.0, for centre pick up A.C. operation. Load-controlled decoder for conventional or digital operation. Switchable on/off constant double LED-headlights, co-ordinated with direction of travel (digital running). Slot-guide mechanism at each end for true close-coupling when using close-couplings. Standard NEM 360 hoop-couplings. Otherwise technical details as per 4055. Based on: The mighty steam engines of the Prussian class T 20, later known as class 95.0, first introduced into service in 1922, were ranked as Giants among the German tank engines. 14 of them survived to see service on the DB, stationed at the Aschaffenburg loco depot particularly for use as bankers on the steep gradient through the Spessart forest between Laufach and Heigenbrücken. This Lionel Series 1 B & O Chessie System GP-9 is a must-have for any model train enthusiast. Brawa H0 0240 E95 02 DRG AC DIGITAL Electric Locomotive, used.

Brawa 0240 AC E-95 02 locomotive. Era III Deutsche Reichbahn. Digital decoder retrofit. Recently tested; works fine. Address is 69. A beautifully detailed model, painted in DR green. Typical Brawa quality. Twin 5-pole motors with flywheels. One unit has one driven axle; one unit has three driven axles. Very powerful, with four rubber traction tires. Lights change automatically with change of direction. This model could be used to represent Era III operations or as a later era museum locomotive. Six units of the E-95 were built in 1927 and 1928 to haul heavy coal trains in Silesia, although one was stationed near Stuttgart for a while. They were built in two nearly identical halves that were permanently linked. At the time, they were said to be the heaviest electric locomotives in Germany. After the war all six were sent to the USSR, but were never used there. They were sent back to the GDR in 1952, and E-95 01 through 03 served in Leipzig and Halle until 1969. Eventually this one, the E-95 02, became a museum locomotive in 1979.
