The rear of the tender is numbered 3727. The tender shows very little in any signs of use. Usually, it is pretty accurate.

The Heiden Transmission Gear Reduction Set for Athearn HO Blue Box Diesels
Similar to the Ernst gear set this Heiden set allowed slower speed running via a gear reduction for Athearn B trucks. They were not as popular and did not last long on the market. Apparently they are more fussy to install and very loud when installed.
