LIONEL Tender-Locomotive Variation B ~ LIONEL LINES ~ Rd# 1110 – O-27

  •

We try to be Friendly to our international customers especially with our: UPS Standard to Canada,Lionel Diecast metal 2-4-2 Columbia Scout with a 1949 motor and mechanism inside 2-position E-unit with a coal tender. Runs good & headlight works no smoke unit. Its marker lights had been broken off, so it has been ground down smooth to look more like an early 20th Century locomotive. See last photo really, they did not all have marker lights. To see all our listings, visit: Ika’s Train StoreThe Lionel 2-4-2 Columbian 1110 was issued as a modified Scout locomotive in 1949, and again in 1951 and 1952. It was produced on a painted BLACK diecast body with silver rubber-stamped number on the cab, but without the ornamental trim that was on the No.1101. Equipped with a plastic motor, it came with a two-position directional control, and was lighted without a headlight lens, and came with a sheet metal No. 1001T Scout Tender with early Scout trucks. There are five variations: Variation A: Has Baldwin Disc drive wheels and an aluminum directional control lever. Early 1949 production. Variation B: Has spoked driving wheels. Late 1949 productions; and the 1950 versions Variation C: For the early part of 1951, a small air hole (approximately 1/4″ round) exists in the boiler front above the headlight. These shells are actually leftover 6110 steamer shells renumbered 1110. This is a hard to find variation. For the remainder of 1951 and all of 1952, the air hole was plugged during the manufacture process. If you examine the boiler front you can usually see a slight outline of air hole. This is a common version. Variation D: Shows a faint outline of the 6110 opening on the front of the boiler above the headlight has been plugged. Late 1951-52 production.Variation E: Metal motor assembly has been adapted to fit inside the body. This modification may have originated in some units at the Lionel factory, but most were likely done at Lionel service stations. This locomotive was designed to work on 027 Gauge track and it will also run on O Gauge Track.Note #1: I will combine shipping for multiple items. Such installations are known as garden railways.G scale was introduced by Ernst Paul Lehmann Patentwerk under the brand name LGB and was intended for indoor and outdoor use. Lehman Patentwerk, founded in 1881, started producing LGB in 1968. The remains of the company were bought by Märklin and production of certain items continues. The G name comes from the German word groß meaning “big”. More recently some people have come to interpret it as standing for garden scale.’G Scale’ versus ‘G Gauge'[edit]Main article: Rail transport modelling scalesA railroad gauge is the distance between the railheads. The most common full scale practice has rails spaced 4 ft 8 1⁄2 in (1,435 mm) standard gauge apart whereas some narrow-gauge railways (serving mines, etc.) have rails only 3 ft (914 mm) apart. Although often built with standard-sized doors, a narrow-gauge train is in most other respects smaller than its standard-gauge cousin: its cars are generally narrower and shorter, allowing them to navigate often more sharply curved and lighter built tracks.Model trains are built to represent a real train of standard or narrow gauge. In an HO model, for example, 16.5 mm gauge track represents standard gauge and a narrower-gauge track such as 9 mm N gauge is used to represent real narrow gauge. G model-railways depart from this and always use the same gauge with the trains instead built in different sizes depending on whether they are intended to represent standard-gauge or narrow-gauge trains. Because of this it might be more correct to speak of “G Gauge,” the consistent aspect being the gauge, 45 mm (1.772 in), and not the scale. The 45 mm gauge originated from ‘1 gauge’ or ‘Gauge One’ which was first used in Europe and England and used to model standard gauge trains in the scale of 1:32.LGB were first to adopt the term ‘G Scale’ and used the gauge of 45 mm (1.772 in) to model 1,000mm gauge European trains in 1:22.5 scale.Below are some typical scales with more specific terms that all run on 45 mm gauge track:’Gauge One’ scaled at 1:32 (3/8″ to the foot) used to model standard gauge trains of 4 ft 8 1⁄2 in (1,435 mm) standard gauge gauge.’A’ scale. Uncommon term for 1:29 scale first used by AristCraft for modeling standard gauge prototypes on 45mm track. Incorrect scale/gauge but proportionally a similar size to other popular brands of the time.’G’ scale 1:22.5 used to model European trains that run on 1,000 mm (3 ft 3 3⁄8 in) metre gauge track. This scale-gauge combination is called ‘Scale IIm’ according to NEM 010. ‘G’ term comes from the German word groß meaning “big”.’H’ scale (Half inch) 1/2″ to the foot scale. 1:24 used to model 3 ft 6 in (1,067 mm) gauge or ‘Cape gauge.’ Incorrect scale used for 3 ft (914 mm) gauge track.’F’ scale (Fifteen) 15mm to the foot scale. 1:20.32 Correct scale/gauge typically used to model North American narrow gauge trains on 3 ft (914 mm) gauge track.’Seven Eighths’ 7/8″ to the foot scale. 1:13.7 used to model trains on 2 ft (610 mm) narrow gauge track.’16mm scale’ 16mm to the foot scale. 1:19.05 Originally intended for modelling 2 ft gauge prototype railways on 32mm track (SM32). The models are often re-gaugable to also run on 45mm track. This scale has also been used to model 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) gauge prototype trains.Global Manufacturers and their scale product sizes[edit]Locomotives and rolling stock only[edit]Accucraft has five scales – Fn3 is 1:20.3, Gauge 1 is 1:32, their ½-inch scale is 1:24. They also build 1:29 scale North American models in live steam and electric under the AML brand, as well as British live steam and electric models in 1:19 scale [also called 16mm] and Isle of Man live steam and electric models in 1:20.3 scale – the Isle of Man uses three-foot gauge track, the same width as the dominant US Colorado narrow gauge.American Model Builders is 1:24Aristo-Craft (REA) made two scales during its run: 1:29 and the “Classic” series, 1:24 (some models were closer to 1:32 scale), before going out of business during the great recession.Aster (C&S Mogul) is 1:32, 1:30 for Japanese prototypes and 1:22.5 for European and Japanese narrow gauge.Bachmann’s “Big Haulers” series is to 1:22.5, while their “Spectrum” Series is to 1:20.3 scale and their train streetcars is 1:29Buddy “L” (Keystone) (modern) is 1:22.5 scale (almost identical to Bachmann, except cab is taller), older (legacy) equipment runs on rails spaced 3-1/4 inches from the pre WWII era.Chicago Train Works is 1:32Chucks Custom Cars is 1:22.5D.A.N. is 1:22.5Delton/Caledonia Express is 1:24Eastern Railways is 1:32GHB is 1:32Great Trains/American Standard is 1:32Hartford Products (except SP boxcar and stock car) is 1:22.5 (SP boxcar and stock car) is 1:24Hartland Locomotive Works products are engineered to fit with 1:24 scale Narrow Gauge equipment and 1:29 Standard Gauge equipment.Kalamazoo is 1:24Keystone is 1:22.5LGB is 1:22.5Lionel is 1:32Little Railways is 1:20Mainline America is 1:32Märklin “MAXI” is 1:32Model Die Casting (except caboose) is 1:32, (caboose only) is 1:24MTH Rail-King is 1:32Northern Fine Scale Stock in 10mm scale British only freight stock in kit form[1]Precision Scale is 1:32, (narrow gauge only) is 1:24PIKO is 1:29 for the American cars, the wood-sided passenger cars 1:22.5Roberts Lines (Zephyr) is 1:32USA Trains “Ultimate” Series is 1:29, “American” Series is 1:24Wrightway Rolling Stock 1:32 and 10 mm scale custom built British North American and European passenger stock.[2] [Ontario, Canada]LGB and numerous other manufacturers [Train-Li, PIKO, Peco] produce track made of brass which can remain outside in all weathers – a quick wipe and it is ready for use. The locomotives were retired in 1975 after sixty-one years of service. Some Class 8620s, built for Taiwan under the name the Class E500, were renamed Class C95 in 1937.After World War II, it was taken over by Taiwan Railways, which changed its name again to the CT150 Class in 1947.Twenty-two locomotives have survived into preservation, in addition to one CT150 class locomotive. Of the twenty-two locomotives, two locomotives, namely 8630 and 58654, are preserved in operational condition. The first locomotive built, 8620, also survived into preservation; it is on static display at the Ome Railway Park in Ome, Tokyo. 58654 is expected to be taken out of service in March 2024; due to the locomotive’s age it is difficult to procure spare parts and as a result maintain the locomotive. 8630 features an American-styled bell which was not originally fitted on the locomotive. As a side note, the steam locomotive in the “Demon Slayer/Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train” was based on the Class 8620, and as a result, in November and December 2020, the Class 8620 #58654, which is preserved at JR Kyushu, ran a limited run of the “Steam Locomotive Demon Slayer/Kimetsu no Yaiba”.This was followed by #8630, which had its number boards changed to “#Mugen”, the same as the steam locomotive in the movie “Mugen Train”, and ran from December 26, 2020 to March 14, 2021.JR Kyushu’s “Steam Locomotive Demon Slayer/Kimetsu no Yaiba” was such a success that tickets for reserved seats were sold out immediately.【Item Details】・HO, J/1:80 Scale・For 16.5mm Gauge Tracks・Ready to Run・Comes With Accessories (Japanese Flags, Smoke Deflectors, Number Boards etc.)・New in Box w/Original Box・Grade: C-10 Mint-Brand New・Year Manufactured: 2022 ShippingShipping Approximate DayShipping for The U.S.A , CanadaEurope , Asia , AustraliaApproximate 1 week – 2 weeksWe use Japan Post, FedEx, DHLWith insurance and tracking numberWe pack your items carefully and firmly and deliver them quickly !!Please be sure to read before making a payment!!・Your purchase is deemed to have been made after you have read through this item summary, delivery method, customs duties, legal description, etc.・Please note that any address not registered in eBay is not acceptable to ship.・We can only ship to the address that we confirmed by eBay.・For Expedited Shipping to North America (Canada, etc.), you may be required to pay an out-of-region shipping fee separate from the shipping fee in certain regions.・Exact delivery times may be delayed due to some reasons such as custom procedures.・For some countries, tracking service is not available.・Instructions and product packages are written in Japanese.
