Intended for freight service alongside the similar EF58 designed for passenger service, 202 locomotives were built from 1947 to 1958.When these were introduced the EF15s were used on numerous major lines, such as the Tōkaidō and San’yō Main Lines. With the introduction of regional freight trains the EF15s would slowly be replaced; combined with their age withdrawal and scrapping of the locomotives began in 1978. On these lines, the EF15 would be replaced with newer EF60 locomotives. Operations centered in the Tokyo metropolitan area and the Jōetsu Line were stopped in the 1980s; the locomotives on the Tōhoku Main Line were replaced with EF64s.By this point only the Hanwa Line and Kisei Main Line operated EF15s; most locomotives were replaced with EF60s with the 14 March 1985 timetable revision, with only three locomotives, EF15 123, EF15 158 and EF15 184 still in service. All three were retired on 1 November 1986 with the introduction of the revised timetable due to the abolition of freight trains on the Kisei Main Line, a few months before JNR’s privatization and division in April 1987. Of these, EF15 158 remained registered on the fleet register, with its ownership passing to JR West when the JNR was privatized although it did not run any revenue services.Four locomotives have been preserved, including EF15 158. EF15 192 was stored at the Ōmiya General Rolling Stock Center but was scrapped in 2017.【Depots Nameplate Stickers List】 ・Hiroshima/広島 [広]・Okayama/岡山 [岡]・Ryuge/竜華 [竜]・Kofu/甲府 [甲]・Hachioji/八王子[八]・Shin-Tsurumi/新鶴見 [新]・Tokyo/東京 [東]・Utsunomiya/宇都宮 [宇]・Takasaki/高崎 [高ニ]【Item Details】・HO, J/1:80 Scale・For 16.5 mm Gauge Tracks・Ready to Run・Light Function・Minimum Passable Radius: R550 mm・Comes With Detailed Parts (Instant Lettering, Stickers, Etched Car Number Boards/Builder’s Plates, etc.)・New in Box w/Original Box・Grade: C-10 Mint-Brand・Year Manufactured: 2023ShippingShipping Approximate DayShipping for The U.S.A , CanadaEurope , Asia , AustraliaApproximate 1 week – 2 weeksWe use Japan Post, FedEx, DHLWith insurance and tracking numberWe pack your items carefully and firmly and deliver them quickly !!Please be sure to read before making a payment!!・Your purchase is deemed to have been made after you have read through this item summary, delivery method, customs duties, legal description, etc.・Please note that any address not registered in eBay is not acceptable to ship.・We can only ship to the address that we confirmed by eBay.・For Expedited Shipping to North America (Canada, etc.), you may be required to pay an out-of-region shipping fee separate from the shipping fee in certain regions.・Exact delivery times may be delayed due to some reasons such as custom procedures.・For some countries, tracking service is not available.・Instructions and product packages are written in Japanese. Due to the lack of experience in the field of dual-system technology (GDR: alternating voltage 15 kV/16 Hz, SSR: direct voltage 3 kV) and the full utilization of the electric locomotive manufacturer LEW in Hennigsdorf, the machines were created based on the SD series ES 499.1 . However, the koda locomotive factory had not yet built a machine for the 15 kV/16 Hz AC system, so the alternating current parts were supplied from the GDR. Due to the needs of the SD, koda received a double order with 15 BR 372 locomotives and 20 BR 230 locomotives for the DR. The machines, with an hourly output of 3,260 kW and a maximum speed of 120 km/h, were delivered to DB AG BR 180 redrawn.
