They are reversible if you are capable of taking this apart and changing the side that the insulation is on this is important because this controls the direction of current to the locomotive if put on the wrong end. This could run the locomotive in reverse when you have it in forward allowing you to have an old-fashioned head on collision just like the Addams family.
