Hi. Motor is 5 pole so is design for DCC operation in slow speeds is very quiet with lots of power. New bras gear is install.I install them in all may sold locomotives. This is a very high torquesingle shaft round can motor; it is designed for cordless drill service. The motor has a 5 pole armature, carbon brushes and brass bearings. There are 2 mounting holes on the front of the motor that are tapped for 2.6mm screws, the mounting holes are spaced 18mm apart.
This kit WILL NOT fit the early Athearn models with the Hi-F rubber band drive. This kitWILL NOT FIT the Athearn AMD 103. or GE Dash 9. The dual motor DD40 will require 2 motor kits if your model has dual motors.

Gordon and his tender are in excellent condition with minimal signs of being used at all. The box comparatively is rather beaten but will be very effective for storage all the same.
