HO PROTO 2000 PRR E8/9 Diesel Loco #5887 w/ Kadee Cplr, Assembled, Tested, NIB
HO PROTO 2000 (Lifelike) PRR E8/9, cab # 5887,Tuscan Red Diesel Loco with forward Kadee coupler. Rear coupler is Proto 2000 Kadee Coupler. This engine was intended to be the second back to back E8/9 unit so the rear couplers were proto 2000 and the Kadee was to hook to the train. The first engine, cab # 5898 (separate listing) has no forward coupler and the proto 2000 coupler to hook both engines together. Of course the buyer may want to and can easily replace the Proto coupler with a Kadee or horn hook type. Both engines were the last purchased in 1995 are considered NIB because “Factory Brand New” would be unassembled. This engine was assembled per instructions, a Kadee Coupler added and tested. The layout was under construction, never finished due to a long range move tin March 1996 and subsequent conversion to two rail O Scale. Both engines were tested for these listings. They are beautiful, quiet and smooth and the flywheels allow a great cruising stop. All three axles per truck are geared to drive, there are no idler wheels. Headlight and number boards light. Instructions are included in the box. This engine will be shipped USPS priority mail. If both engines are purchased for back to back operation, notify me BEFORE purchase so I can combine shipping. I am not trying to make money and can not even recover it considering inflation and fees.
