Proto 2000 HO GP30, Phase II, Santa Fe #1274, Proto 2000 Item #23093, DC Analog. New condition in the original box. The cracked axles have been replaced with Walther’s Proto axle gear sets. All old factory grease has been removed, and the completed assemblies have been relubricated.
EMD SD45 – Tsunami(R) Sound & DCC – PROTO 2000(TM) — Santa Fe #5374. EMD SD45 -. By 1964, six-axle diesels were rapidly evolving from low speed luggers to fast freight engines. As of 2011, a few are still in use, and several are preserved in museums.
Factory installed TSUNAMI SOUND. Set Powered w/Sound & DCC –. DCC and SOUND. Working Mars Light as Appropriate – Works on DC or DCC. Factory-Installed Sound & DCC Sound features include: Diesel Engine Sounds, Horn, Bell, Squealing Brakes, Doppler Effect, Air Let Off (in neutral), Headlight, and Trailer mode which mutes whistle and bell for double-heading.
Diesel EMD E7A Phase II Powered w/Sound & DCC –. Factory Installed Sound & DCC – PROTO 2000(R). DCC and SOUND. When EMD was given the green light to build new passenger diesels in early 1945, it unveiled an improved version of the successful E6, designated the E7.
The debut of the SD9 in 1954 marked the next step forward for EMD’s Special Duty line of six-axle diesels. The EMD SD9 is a model of diesel locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division between January 1954 and June 1959.

Box with minor outer wear from shelf storage. A couple of the sections where the handrails attach are loose and need to be re-glued on. An easy fix with proper tools/experience. This loco is factory DCC & Tsunami Sound equipped.
