There is supposed to be a pull back mechanism but it doesn’t work. If you roll the wheels manually you can get a little out of it but not much. Smokestack funny is missing or broken and front is loose or misaligned. There may be an issue with the front wheels. For display only. See photos.

The locomotive has been used before but still in good conditions and runs well with working smoke I did some modifications to the model to make it look better I replace the older front number of 4449 on engine since it was missing 4449 on it and I replace it with newer paragon4 number boreds on the loco to make it look more prototypical and better and I also painted the front four trucks into black since they were silver before and I didn’t like how it look so I painted it into black and looks a lot better and more prototypical to the real 4449 this locomotive looks amazing and would look great in your collection of 4449.
