The Lionel 6-28540 Union Pacific SD-40T-2 (tunnel motor) Diesel Locomotive is a highly collectible model train accessory made in 2003 (Lionel 2003 Volume 2 Catalog). This pre-built locomotive is made of plastic and operates on a Three-Rail System. With a scale of 1:48 and a grade of C-10 Mint-Brand New, it is perfect for model railroad enthusiasts aged 17 and up. The locomotive features the iconic Union Pacific theme and is a valuable addition to any train collection. Condition is mint in original box and factory shipping container. Engine has been track tested and functions as it should (for testing the engine ID Number was changed to 40 which it remains).

I do not think the issue could be anything else unless there is just a loose wire or it needs a new speaker as all the sound functions appear to work fine (just a little quieter than normal & voices are a little garbled).
