Vintage Marx Wind Up Mercury New York Central line train set. Engine winds up with key and works. Train and cars do show their age and signs of wear. Includes Track. (See pictures for details.) Will ship immediately.
This locomotive has been taken apart, serviced, cleaned, lubricated and tested. The Marx 591 was produced from 1953-58 and features a black painted tin body, DC battery powered motor, 3 way switch located on top of the boiler for stop, forward and reverse movement. Takes 2 D cell batteries not included. Runs good.
One looks to be a passenger car. One is a storage cargo car. The last one is a Caboose. All parts on other cars work smoothly and show clean wheels and undercarriage. Cars are 7″.
Locomotive runs well forward and reverse, working headlight.

Used Marx engine. Decent shape. Works, lights up and goes forward and backwards. Couplers are present. Has scratches, paint loss, discoloration and wear. But shows well enough. I have no idea what’s original or what’s been modified.
