This listing is for a really excellent Kato Chicago & North Western (C&NW) SD40-2 by Kato in N scale. The road number is 6858. Museum. This loco runs perfectly as a Kato should and everything works. See pictures for condition–it is in pretty much perfect shape. This loco is equipped with a Digitrax DCC decoder, addressed to the road number. It comes in the original box. I am happy to combine shipping with any of my other listings. I have a companion listing for road number 6847.

By the mid-1970’s, the thousands of first generation locomotives were showing the age after 20 years or so of service. The GP15 series was introduced by EMD in 1976 as an alternative to these rebuilding programs.
