The NEW HO Tyco 1776 Alco Century 430 4301 Powered Lighted Diesel Spirit Of 76 is a vintage model train locomotive from 1976, celebrating the bicentennial of the United States. This red, white, and blue diesel locomotive is ready to go with analog control and features a light function for added realism. Untested Both nice shape Boxes are in rough shape
Custom painted & numbered to match B&O #7896. Imported from Japan in 1970. Tested on 6/17/26 and found her to not run in either direction. Power was received but we believe the motor to be seized from sitting so long unrun.
Type: Diesel Locomotive. Prototype: F Unit (F7/F9 style). Original Atlas display box. Horn Hook Couplers. I Am Not An Expert! Could use clean and lube. Break in before running full speed . Power Type: DC.

On one side of the cab it’s labeled C R & L, presumably Connecticut Railway & Lighting. One of the traction tires is brittle. The plastic body is not cracked or broken. It looks like it started out as a C. of N.J., but was modified.
