Item DescriptionHO/J ScaleGeneral Electric JNR Class ED14 Boxcab Electric Locomotive #1This item is also sold on our shop website and in stores, so it may be sold out.Be sure to message us if this item is available before purchasing!!Do not purchase without checking availability to us!!J scale refers to the 1:80, 16.5mm gauge model railroad standard, often treated in Japan as the same as HO scale, but recently named J scale.Optional 1:80 scale builders’ plates will be shipped to those who purchase this item. The JNR Class ED14 was a Japanese DC electric locomotive operated by the Japanese National Railways and later the Ohmi Railway from 1926 to 1988.The ED14 was an early electric locomotive used on Japan’s rail network. The locomotives were intended as freight locomotives, following in the vein of the ED11 locomotives.Four locomotives were built in 1926, all by General Electric, which manufactured both the electrical and mechanical equipment for the locomotives. They were originally classified as the Class 1060 and numbered 1060 through 1063, but were reclassified to Class ED14 when a rule regarding the standardization of locomotive names was enacted in 1928. The locomotives were originally stationed in Tokyo and were used to pull freight trains on the Tokaido Main Line; they were moved to Kofu in 1930 with the introduction of larger electric locomotives on the Tokaido Main Line and used on the Chuo Main Line from then through to World War II.After the conclusion of World War II, the locomotives were relocated to Toyohashi and used on the Iida Line; in 1950, they were relocated to the Senzan Line. The locomotives were replaced by ED17s in 1960, with some of the locomotives lent to the Seibu Railway; ED14 4 was resold to the Ohmi Railway, which was owned by Seibu. All locomotives were transferred to the Ohmi Railway in 1966, where they were used until 1988 with the discontinuation of freight trains on the Ohmi Railway. No ED14s have been preserved; prior to this, all four locomotives were preserved at the Ohmi Railway Museum. When the museum closed on 8 December 2018, all locomotives were sent for scrapping from December 2018 to March 2019, with ED14 1 being the last locomotive to get scrapped.【Item Details】・HO, J/1:80 Scale, For 16.5mm Gauge Tracks・Factory-Built (Some detailed parts need to be installed.)・Factory-Painted・Light function・Comes With Detailed Parts・Comes With Number Boards (ED14 #1, ED14 #2, ED14 #3, ED14 #4)・Comes With Optional Builder’s Plates (General Electric)・New in Box w/Original Box・Grade: C-10 Mint-Brand・Year Manufactured: 2017ShippingShipping Approximate DayShipping for The U.S.A , CanadaEurope , Asia , AustraliaApproximate 1 week – 2 weeksWe use FedEx, DHL.With insurance and tracking numberWe pack your items carefully and firmly and deliver them quickly. !!Please be sure to read before making a payment!!・Your purchase is deemed to have been made after you have read through this item summary, delivery method, customs duties, legal description, etc.・Please note that any address not registered in eBay is not acceptable to ship.・We can only ship to the address that we confirmed by eBay.・For Expedited Shipping to North America (Canada, etc.), you may be required to pay an out-of-region shipping fee separate from the shipping fee in certain regions.・Exact delivery times may be delayed due to some reasons such as custom procedures.・For some countries, tracking service is not available.・Instructions and product packages are written in Japanese. HO/J Zoukeimura JNR EF13 Early Steeplecab Electric Locomotive NIB Crocodile H0

The locomotive was developed based on the EF12 locomotives, which were becoming difficult to produce due to wartime material shortages, so the EF13 was designed to use as many existing materials as possible for low-cost production.Despite the measures taken to make the locomotives as cheap as possible, only seven locomotives were produced during World War II; production would pick up after the end of the war, with thirty-one locomotives manufactured. The locomotives were known to be reliable runners and liked by crews. Mainly used to pull freight trains, the locomotives were also used for towing jobs and passenger trains; they operated mainly on the Chūō Main Line and Jōetsu Line. From 1953 to 1957, the locomotives’s bodies were replaced, with the old steeplecab bodies replaced with the bodies from the EF58 locomotives due to a surplus of old bodies; the first 31 EF58s would have their bodies donated to the EF13s, with the numbers from the donor EF58s not necessarily matching up to the EF13s (only EF13 5 and EF13 26 received bodies from the EF58 with a matching number).Despite being a wartime design with the expectation that the locomotives would be quickly withdrawn and scrapped, the locomotives were used for many years due to constant modifications to ensure they were up to date. Withdrawals began in 1977 with the introduction of the EF60s, with the locomotive being used in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area pulling freight trains; the last locomotive was withdrawn from service on 17 February 1979. EF13 3, which had been stored at Niigata for many years, was scrapped in November 1979. No EF13s have been preserved. The EF13s featured a steeplecab-like design reminiscent of the Swiss Ce 6/8II locomotives; the reaction to this design was overwhelmingly negative, the locomotive being described as “strange”. The locomotives adopted a more conventional appearance after their bodies were changed with that of the EF58s.【Item Includes】・JNR DD54 Diesel Locomotive・Instructions・Instant Lettering (White)・Etched Parts (Car Numbers, Builder’s Plates, Markings)・Detailed Parts【Item Details】・HO, J/1:80 Scale・For 16.5mm Gauge Tracks・Ready to Run・Light Function・21 Pin DCC Decoder Compatible・Min.
