A previous owner did some super detailing, such as re-numbered (to #612), lightly weathered, KaDee couplers (is the front one broken off?), hand grabs and brake hoses, back-up light, etc. The original horns are gone, and the engine looks like it could use a LITTLE cleaning. The Heiden Transmission Gear Reduction Set for Athearn HO Blue Box Diesels
Similar to the Ernst gear set this Heiden set allowed slower speed running via a gear reduction for Athearn B trucks. They were not as popular and did not last long on the market. Apparently they are more fussy to install and very loud when installed.
