Vintage mid-century MARX Steam Type Electric Train #4277 Louis Marx & Co., Inc. USA Approximate circa 1960’s but possibly earlier Includes the 490 locomotive, four cars, track, transformer with good cord The original box is in nice solid shape for the age…there are some smudges but no serious damage The original price (probably from the local hardware store) is written in crayon marker – $12.95 Please study all photos as my knowledge is limited. NOTE: Pictured on the box is a 45-piece village set but it is not included with the set. It’s obvious this set has received good care over the years. Untested estate item with no known history. Selling as-is, as-found.

This train Powers up When I Applied power to it and it runs, lights up and has engine sounds. It has been setting for quite some time and might need a little cleaning to get it running perfectly. I just purchased a large train collection of mainly Lionel and some other brands, including which I am selling off piece by piece. A lot of the items are still in their original boxes. Some are not. 100 of these were imported from Korea in 1981. Unpainted & unnumbered. Test ran on 7/13/26 and found her to run smooth & quiet in both directions. Minor wheel wear noted during testing. Original box & top/bottom layers of foam are included and in great shape.
