This is new old stock. Alco DL701 comes in original box. This train does run I have run it on my layout. Works forward and backwards makes a little noise which is normal for these trains do to metal gears . I have disassembled and lubed drive system. It does show signs of age but no damage and does need to be broken in as it has been sitting for a long time. may need wheels cleaned.
