The two-part Dutch electric multiple unit Plan V - better known in the Netherlands as Mat '64 or under the nickname Apekop (monkey head) - became one of the Dutch State Railways' standard commuter trains from the mid-1960s. With a total of 246 units, it was the most frequently built NS multiple unit at the time. From the V3 series onwards, the new color scheme of the Dutch State Railways also became established on Plan V: bright yellow with gray details on the front and three blue, diagonal stripes on each side of the car. Until they were decommissioned, the multiple units were used on almost Allen electrified railway lines in the Netherlands. According to EU Directive 2009/48/EC, model trains/cars are not suitable for children under 15 years of age. Special danger for children up to 3 yea.
