HO BRASS 2-8-2 Brooks Mikado 1895 VintagePainted & LetteredNORTHWEST LUMBER COMPANY Key Features & Comments:There is no original box or paperwork included. This model could be a “One of a Kind” model. This model does not appear in the Brass Importer Catalogs from the 1950’s to the 1970’s. Many Mikado steam locomotive were used in the Logging industry found in the Northwest during the 1890’s to 1940’s. The model’s paint work is fair and should be professionally redone or weathered over to represent its appearance in the field. The model comes from one of Japan’s premier manufacturers of brass model trains during the 1960's to 1970’s. This loco has an open frame motor that is recessed deep inside the cab. Adding a “blackhead” can easily be installed to completely conceal the motor with plenty of interior floor room left for the engine crew. The model is highly detailed throughout and the photos do not depict the true beauty of this model.This is made of superior hardened brass model in HO gauge 1:87 scale. The model has spoke wheels and nice details throughout. There is noticeable wear on the wheels. This model operates extremely smooth and quiet with no hesitations in both directions and exhibits creep action at slow speeds. This model requires no alterations to work properly.
