Reduced 10% from $1099.95!HO Custom NJ Brass Reading Co. 4-8-4 T1 Northern with electronics for PFM Sound, Rev HL/BL & Fire Box Lt., jeweled marker lamps and engineer and fireman. This engine had about 5 hours running or less. It is equipped with discrete parts such as diodes, RF trap, wiper wire and capacitors and constant intensity lighting with reversible 1.5v headlight and tail light. A firebox light glows over the drive wheels. The wires between engine and tender are pin connected and color coded plus set in opposite configuration. The drawbar must always be connected to prevent the headlight or taillight from blowing (based on direction). So a supplemental hard wire is provided between the engine & tender to prevent accidental disconnect. A copy of the PFM wiring found inside is provided for the puffing, lighting and speaker circuits. PFM is a centralized sound system but is now obsolete. The engine can be run on straight DC and will give the lighting effects. If you don't use PFM Sound System, and you want sound, I recommend installing a decoder. The headlight and backup light are 1.5v and would need resistors while the firebox light is a 12v orange bulb. The speaker could be retained, without the capacitors and RF trap for direct connection to the decoder. All parts are with the engine and assembled. At age 83 I am liquidating all HO and G scale trains. Many custom painted brass and plastic engines and a couple of hundred cars will be liquidated.
