The Tender is the car that picks up power from the track and sends it forward to power the engine up front and it also runs the lights on all the cars that follow. The Tender also houses the speaker for all the sounds that the train makes. It is fully plug-in compatible with the entire single wire Holiday Express train line up (380, 383, 384, 385, 386 & 387 series). This tender have been test run for proper working operation. Don't get stuck buying a dud; all my trains have been hooked up and actually test run on the track for lights and animation. They will have good rolling wheels, no broken connectors or couplers.
