Railway Recollections HOn30 Class-A 20 Ton Wood Framed Class-A ClimaxThis is a freelance locomotive kit.Parts needed, N scale Bachmann RS-3, and Microtrains #2004 couplers.A Class-A Climax had a 2 speed transmission. It would top out at 15 MPH. They were mostly used for logging, but found their way occasionally into serving industry. They were intended to be a throw away item. But they lasted years and many saw different logging operations. Amazingly the wood frames on these locomotives lasted a very long time. On of the few instances of a wood frame surviving a long time on a locomotive.
