These first Scandinavian Pacifics were built between 1914 and 1916 by Nydqvist &amp; Holm as four-cylinder superheated steam compound locomotives with Heusinger controls based on the Vauclain system, in which all cylinders were in a row. Both the outer low-pressure and inner high-pressure cylinders acted on the second coupling gear set. On the top of the boiler, both the steam dome and the sandpit were located under a common panel.
