Parts may need a little light sanding and/or filing in spots as well as slight trimming for proper fit. Use as printed or prime and paint as you wish. It could probably be modified to fit other N scale switcher chassis as well. Based loosely on industrial switchers designed by Vulcan, Porter, etc, the kit includes the square edged saddle tank with attached domes, steel l style cab body with attached coal/wood bunker and roof, stack extension, and a front pilot. This will make an excellent starting point for building your own custom HOn30 steamer.Add your own details (whistle, bell, brake lines and gear, etc) for a very unique loco. DOES NOT include the Bachmann chassis/loco. Pics with the chassis is for illustrative purposes only. Included is a rear buffer with a spot to mount a coupler to the cab end to convert it to a tank loco. It is easily glued to the underneath of the coal bunker with the coupler opening facing downward. The buffer should be flush to the end of the coal bunker as well as the sides. It’s designed to use Micro-Trains #2004 Underslung Short Shank Body Mount Couplers with draft boxes. With some modification, you could use #1015 Universal Short Shank Body Mount Couplers with draft boxes. It can then be used with our available 6′ fuel tenders kits for the Micro-Trains N scale log disconnects. Based loosely on industrial switchers designed by Vulcan, Porter, etc, the kit includes the side tanks with attached cab, roof, and stack extension. This is designed to use the newer run, can motor version Bachmann N scale 0-6-0/2-6-2 locos as the chassis. You will also need to use the Bachmann N scale boiler with the cab removed (instructions are in the pics). The new cab and side tanks drop onto the Bachmann chassis and attach to the boiler shell by glueing the tanks to the boiler shell running boards.
